In the past, the growth of the oil industry has been bad for agriculture in Libya. In 1958, more than 26% of the GDP came from farming. Gross agricultural production stayed about the same, but as oil revenues went up, agriculture’s share of national income went down. In 1962, agriculture made up 9% of the GDP. In 1978, it was 2%, in 1984, it was 3.5%, and by 1997, it was 5.6%. In 1977, the value of imported food was more than 37 times what it was in 1958. Even though a lot of oil money was used to buy food from other countries, this was a good thing. In the 1950s, the agricultural sector hid the fact that there was a lot of poverty, low productivity, and few other options. Because petrodollars created jobs in cities, more people moved to cities from the countryside. Between 1961 and 1963, the government gave loans to buy land from Italian settlers. This made it easier for Urbanized to purchase land for recreation instead of farming, which drove up prices and decreased production.

Grants are a type of business financing that doesn’t have to be paid back, and business owners don’t have to give up any equity in exchange for an appointment. Most people are interested in agriculture but don’t have much or any money to get started. For these people, you should look into local or international grants in your country. You can apply for business grants if you don’t have enough money to start your business.
